Maui's Kaanapali Beach, Hawaii - August 2005
We spent a week in paradise during Alayna's 2005 summer break and simply had a splash!

This was our first trip to Hawaii but definitely not our last. Plans are in the works for a revisit in 2006.

We had wonderful weather, a fantastic room and view, great reef snorkeling right out our back door and exciting adventures to Molokini Crater and deep under the sea on a real submarine.

Look Ma, a real submarine!
This is something you've gotta experience at least once. The Atlantis Submarines take you down deep. Alayna made a new friend at 148 feet.

Great island!
This is a shot back at the West end of Maui from the dive boat we took to Molokini (90 minutes to the South).

Super views!
Our room was about fifty feet from the surf. As soon as housekeeping would finish with it we'd get busy tracking it full of sand again.

Burgers or sashimi?
Oh, there was plenty of food... but always with a view!

Wonderful 3 hour tours!
Molkini Crater. Those of you that have been here know about its legendary tropical fish and excellent diving/snorkeling.

We hung around then watched as the sun went down.
We filled up each day. This is a very active island with so much to do and see!

Fabulous cliche sunsets!
What can I say? They're just a given here.
